Confederação Brasileira de Futebol have announced a friendly match with the Les Blues of France for March 26,2015 and not against the Super Eagles of Nigeria as widely advertised during the commissioning of the ultra-modern Akwa Ibom Stadium in Uyo last month.
Godswil Akpabio,the executive governor of Akwa Ibom state had gleefully announced that an exhibition match against the five-time world champions will hold next March at the new stadium.
It has however emerged that the likes of Neymar,Oscar,David Luiz,Willian and Thiago Silva will not be coming to Nigeria in March.Instead,they will be heading to the Stade de France in Paris, the venue where they lost 3-0 to the French in the 1998 FIFA World Cup final.
Complete Sports recalls that the Nigeria Football Federation did not actually confirm the game against Brazil although governor Akpabio claimed to have spoken with the federation.
