He died of prostate cancer at a private hospital in the Kwara State capital. His remains has since been deposited at a mortuary in the city.
Meanwhile, the Kwara State Sports Writers Association (SWAN), has described the death as shocking in view of the contribution of the great footballer to the football development of the country.
In a statement signed by its Secretary, Jimoh Bashir in Ilorin yesterday, the association said the death came at a time when the nation needed his services more.
It urged the family to take solace in the facts the late Otolorin lived a useful and purposeful life. The association therefore prayed that God grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant him eternal rest.
