Nigerian President decries frequent strikes called by Medical unions

 

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has decried the lack of sensitivity among professionals in the Health sector which has resulted in a growing number of strikes in the aHealth sector
The President made these remarks while receiving the final report of a Presidential a Committee set up to look into reasons for the friction in
relationships between professionals in the medical field
He expressed optimism that recommendations in the report would to a great extent address the acrimony between medical professionals, and promised that action on the report would be quickly expedited
Chairman of the committee noted that their assignment had been very tasking as they had had to meet with about fifty professional unions in the course of their investigations
He is however of the belief that recommendations in the report will go a long way to ensure a harmonious relationship between medical
professional groups and allow for growth of the health sector
