Come fly with me? Pilot sacked for letting singer fly plane

 

Singer Esmeralda Ugalde (23) along with a friend was allowed into the cockpit of the airline and was able to take the controls and 'fly the plane' mid-flight.  The captain even let the songstress to wear his hat.Miss Ugalde and her friend, actress Samadhi Zendejas (19) then proceeded to pose for photographs while doing this.  It was these photos, subsequently posted on Twitter by Miss Ugalde that led to the captain, who has not been named, losing his job.
In one of the photos, the singer is seen posing for the camera and pouting while in the cockpit. Once this was shared to her 40,000 twitter followers and widely viewed on the social media network, this caught the attention of Magnicharters, the company operating the flight.

Magnicharters, which operates domestic flights out of Mexico City, said the captain's behaviour had been unacceptable.

The pilot admitted that the picture had been taken while the plane was in the air, despite miss Ugalde initially claiming that the photos had been taken while the plane was on the ground.

"We cannot allow a pilot to make this kind of mistake, it is just not allowed. We cannot allow people to enter the cabin even if they are actors or actresses,” a spokesman from Magnicharters said.

"We are a serious company and we are deeply saddened about the fact that one of our staff behaved in this way. Flight law dictates visitors are not allowed to enter the cabin during the flight," the spokesperson concluded.
