DEATH: Pastor Flees After 2 Brothers Die During Spiritual Bath

The pastor of New Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ogombo, near Ajah area of Lagos State, is on the run following the death of two brothers who allegedly died during spiritual bath in the church at the weekend.
Lagos State police command has arrested the secretary of the fleeing clergyman identified as Samuel Olusoji.

The two brothers, Ayinde and Abiodun Oniru, and one of their half- brothers, were said to have gone to the church with their father on Thursday to complete an alleged spiritual cleansing with bath.

Their step- brother was said to have refused to continue the exercise as he left the stream.
Abiodun,23, and Ayinde, 20, respectively, under the watchful eyes of their father, step- mother and Pastor Samuel Olusoji continued bathing.

The spiritual cleansing bath turned sour when Abiodun and Ayinde drowned.
Police detectives attached to Ogombo police station were said to have stormed the church.

LEADERSHIP investigation revealed that immediately the members of the church sighted police patrol vehicle approaching, they took to their heels, including the pastor Olusoji, but luck ran out on the church’s secretary as he was arrested and whisked into the patrol vehicle..

A police inspector attached to the station disclosed that the police had vowed to fish out the fleeing pastor and charge the case to court.
