1st, 2nd January declared public holidays

 

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared 1st and 2nd January, 2015 as public holidays to mark Eid el Maloud, Daily Nigeria Info has reported.

Speaking of behalf of Government, Minister of Interior Abba Moro made the announcement and urged all Nigerians, particularly Muslim faithfuls, to pray for peace and unity within the country.

In addition, Moro urged all citizens to engage to violent-free activities in the lead-up to the 2015 general elections and to support President Goodluck Jonathan in his agenda to develop the country.

Moro has wished a peaceful celebration to all.
